Great question! And I actually have a video that I created that will come out later on walking through the exact tech set up.
So personally, I have a filter in my automation for when I’m pulling from an RSS feed (read blog) to only add things to my newsletter automation that come out on a specific day.
Most creators usually publish there newsletters online anyways so if you read it online first you’ll also perhaps see it on the email as well.
The reason why I have it filter to a specific day is to “time” when the readers gets the content. For example, if I publish an article on Friday, my newsletter goes out on Friday (as an example) it will only receive content that’s showed up on that Friday.
Thus the window of “seeing a repeat” is shortened. Also, in my opinion, not everyone really consumes content right away as you’re competing with the algorithm. If people see it twice, I personally am not too concerned.
But the goal is to drive my email traffic to the blog article as soon as it comes out. Thus, you have content for the newsletter, and you’re leveraging email traffic to your blog. 2 for one situation in my opinion.
Also, side note, loved reading your article on Etsy, excited to see the progress on that!
Does that help?
