But why? Why is it so easy for you to be liked? And why do the rest of us have to work so hard for it? The answer is: because of stupid people, a.k.a. most humans. This may be evolutionary, natural selection, in which case, that would be smart. But we’re talking about justice here and the lack of it. And if you are not one of these do-nothing-yet-people-still-like-you kind of people, you know what injustice feels like. So, these stupid people, they exhibit a certain behaviour whereby they cannot look at situations objectively and fall for this phenomenon called the ‘Halo Effect’. Basically, they subconsciously rationalise (a rational that is in fact irrational) that because a person is attractive, it must mean that they are more intelligent, more competent, more confident, kinder, funnier, more of all the positive attributes!
