Offline freedom, online money
When you don’t rely on social media
Pre P.S. Deep dive into this newsletter here.
It was the middle of the pandemic.
I had a great opportunity:
More time on my business.
I moved back in with my parents,
Took one college class,
And I locked myself in my room and got to work.
I’ve never felt more excited and in prison at the same time.
Excited because I had the freedom to do whatever I pleased with my time.
In prison because I felt glued to my phone every waking moment.
My morning routine:
Wake-up,
Check IG stats,
Post a get ready with me story,
Edit that story,
Stay “tuned in” for any likes & comments that came due.
Bedtime routine:
Browse my “competitors,”
Felt like shit,
Checked my social media stats (barely had any likes, comments, or followers),
Continue to feel like shit,
Go to bed.
Repeat.
The pandemic lasted at least 2 years.
And for a solid year I continued that routine until I couldn’t.
