The fear that almost cost me thousands (and how I overcame it)
Lately, I’ve found myself in an interesting situation.
Opportunities are coming my way without me even asking for them.
It’s a mix of preparation and, I believe, a touch of the universe at play.
When friends started referring clients to me, I felt a twinge of fear.
“What if I’m not good enough?”
“What if I can’t deliver?”
These questions echoed in my mind, creating a storm of doubt.
Then, I had a heart-to-heart with my partner.
He broke it down for me in the most straightforward way.
“Are you knowledgeable in the subject?” he asked.
Yes, I am.
“Does the client know this is new for you and still wants you to try?”
Yes, they do.
“Then fucking go for it,” he said.
Within minutes of sending out a proposal, I secured a paid-in-full client.
Just like that, I was thousands of dollars richer.
I realized I had owned the show-off.
