Time Value of Money — Creator Edition

Let This Be Your Year

I was “that student.”

The student who sat in front of the class,

The student who raised her hand to ask a question (in a 200+ student auditorium),

The student who went to office hours.

Some of my university friends may have called me a “teacher’s pet,”

But I would respond “I’m getting my money’s worth.”

And what’s one big concept that they teach you when you’re studying finance?

The time value of money.

In a nutshell, money today is worth more than tomorrow.

And that’s always stuck with me.

And it should stick with you.

While you’re being creative in your creator business,

Money usually becomes an “afterthought.”

“I just want to help people”

“I want to have massive reach”

“I want to make a difference in this world”

Me too.

But let me pull up a chair and be honest.

You cannot help others before you help yourself.
